Student Vote: April 28

  • Exciting News! Birchwood is registered to participate in the National Student Vote Program, which coincides with the upcoming Federal Election. You may have seen some of the posters that went up yesterday, and there will be more details as we get closer to Student Vote Day.
  • In the meantime, you can become informed about the candidates in your district and the platforms of the parties that are looking to lead our country for the next 4 years.
  • Why is Student Vote Important - you may ask?
  • Historically, young adults have voted at lower rates than older people. Young People need to see the importance of voting and participating in democracy.
  • All students at Birchwood are likely within 1 or maybe 2 voting cycles away from making a real difference by being not only an eligible voter, but getting involved in a campaign or maybe even a candidate.
  • There will be more details around Student Vote and the actual Casting votes that will take place here at Birchwood.
