Principal's Message

At Birchwood intermediate we strive to create a positive, inclusive and safe school environment. Our staff are committed to fostering excellence in academics, athletics and the arts.

A vibrant school culture is something we take seriously at Birchwood. We expect that our students will take pride in themselves and their school. We strive to both support and challenge our students. We want our students to develop into strong academic  students and productive citizens.

Developing student potential could not be possible without the support from our parent community. This partnership is key in the development of young people’s academic and character development. We strive to communicate and engage parents through digital communication and school events.

Staff  are always striving to improve the value we add to student’s lives through extra curricular activities. When students have an idea, we can make it happen! Participation and involvement in school life promotes friendship, boosts school spirit, increases enthusiasm, and develops a sense of pride in self and school.

I wish you all the best in the upcoming year and by working together we can make a difference in the lives of young people!
