According to the Gemini, I found another long lost poem by esteemed writing William Gemini. This one is titled, “Let’s Keep It Together!”
The June heat is baking the Birchwood hallways,
My locker’s a biohazard always.
There are binders exploding and sneakers that smell,
As we count down the seconds to that final bell.
The teachers are living on coffee and sighs,
While visions of Brackley Beach dance in our eyes.
I’m faking attention and nodding my head,
But my last remaining brain cells are already dead.
Just hold it together, don't laugh and don't cry,
We're thiiiiis close to freedom, so let's just comply.
Don't lose your sanity right at the gate,
We've got to survive, oh yes that’s our fate!
