According to the Google, in the olden days, without modern air conditioning, houses got incredibly hot. To cool down, kids spent almost their entire day outside. When they were inside, they would sit right in front of electric fans. A favorite game was talking directly into the spinning fan blades because it made your voice sound like a chopping robot!
Music Department: Congratulations to the members of our grade 7, 8, and 9 band, as well as the member of Complimentary Lemon Water & the Midnight Rockers on a great performance last evening to a full house. It was a warm one, but you all did so well. Thank you to Mr. Giddings for all of his hard work with our students. Thank you to staff who volunteered to help out last night.
Athletics: Our Birchwood spring sports season has finished up for the year. Thank you to all athletes and coaches for a memorable and successful season. There are still uniforms to be turned in and athletic fees to be paid. Please take care of this business by Friday.

Ice Cream Treats and Freezies will be on sale in the cafeteria today. There is a limited supply of both and when they are gone they are gone. This is the final week for ice cream treats. Thanks to everyone who purchased them throughout the year. We raised over $2000.00 dollars to help support the Birchwood Christmas Campaign.
