Thursday June 4, 2026

According to the Google,  if all you want to do these days is sit at home and watch TV, then you would’ve been very excited for June 4, 1953 if you lived in Ottawa as it was on that day that (CBC) officially launched CBOT in Ottawa. It was only the third television station in all of Canada. At the time, TV was a brand-new, mind-blowing technology but what wasn’t invented yet, was the remote control.  You had to get up and walk across the room to change the channel and adjust volume.  That’s like stone-age.

Music:

  • Thursday: Grade 8 Band at 7:40. Midnight Rockers at Lunch.
  • Our Spring Concert is happening on June 10 (NEXT WEEK!) at 1PM for the school and 6PM for parents and guests. Instruments should be going home this week to make sure you are comfortable with your music. This week is the final rehearsal for most groups!!

Ice Cream Treats will be on sale in the cafeteria on Thursday

Box Lacrosse

There is East Coast Junior B Box Lacrosse happening on Sunday in Crapaud if anyone is interested in going to watch.  The Island Oaks, featuring former Cobra Griffin Belik, are hosting the Fundy Riptide at 2:00. A controversial goal and video review was used to decide the last meeting between these teams so the excitement is growing. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for students.
