According to the Google, this was to be Mr Casey’s last day doing the announcements but he heard that there was a sale on pepperoni in Moncton today at Costco, so he charged his new e-bike and took off across to the mainland before the bridge work started. On a related note, did you know that Costco has sold their hotdog and pop deal at $1.50 since 1985?  And they have no aisle signs because they want you to wander, discover and impulse buy?  Maybe Mr Casey will come back with that elusive Star Wars Pinball machine to go with his pepperoni

Easter Seals - We had a great visit yesterday with Easter seals ambassador Rowan Macdonald. Thank you to our grade 7s who participated in the presentation. We’re pleased to report to the entire school that we raised <insert total here> through our fundraising efforts. You’ve proved once again that Cobras have hearts

Top Shelf 5KM Shuffle: Remember Students/Parents/Guardians/Staff to sign up for the Top Shelf Shuffle this Saturday 9am. Great prizes and Chocolate milk. Free t-shirt while supplies last. Girls Softball: Tryout today from 3pm to 4:15pm at the soccer fields. IMPORTANT: meet in Mr. Mitchell’s room at break today (room 222 on grade 9 floor), so he can get a read on how many people will be there, or wish to play. The season is fast approaching and we need to get organized!

Flag Football today: AAG 3-4, AG 3-4:15.  AAB will practice on Saturday 11-1.

Triathlon: Today is the final day to register. If you are interested see Mrs. Steele ASAP

Music

  • Thursday. There will be no Grade 8 Band or Midnight Rockers today as Mr Giddings and the Grade 9 Band have left for Halifax. Good luck to them.

Drama Club:

  • The rehearsals are Monday and Tuesday next week. All cast members are asked to attend. Look over your stuff while home on the long weekend. 

Birchwood Grade 9 Semi Formal -  Tickets will be on sale today at lunch time in the lobby. Tickets are $35, cash only, and can only be purchased by Birchwood grade 9 students. Tickets will also be available to purchase Monday to Thursday.

PEI Got Talent:

Huge congratulations goes out to Darcy Glencross who participated in the PEI Got Talent competition last night at Trailside. Her vocals and guitar play was phenomenal. You should be extremely proud of yourself.  Well done Darcy.
